Bias and Taboo in Women’s Health Care [Barrier: Access to Health Care, Inequity in Health Care, Cost of Care]

An article from March 30, 2023 in Wired online entitled How to End Bias and Taboos in Women’s Health Care: Equity will require educating medical staff, reducing maternity and fertility costs for employees, and investing more in female health research states “Women’s health care is nowhere near equity: Biases, Taboos, and sexism remain pervasive in medicine, with ripple effects across all aspects of a woman’s life.” I would like to read the rest, but I am not a paying subscriber. Therefore, I would call this the barrier of lack of access to Health Literacy.
